Isaac Kaufman was an Amish Mennonite philanthropist of northern Somerset County near Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who owned considerable stock in the Pennsylvania Railroad and was one of the directors of an early bank in Johnstown. He was widely sought for his sound financial advice and the large number of private loans he made to Amish settlers in this area.
