Emmanuel Mennonite Church (Winkler, Manitoba, Canada)
The Emmanuel Mennonite congregation began services and formally organized in 1986 with John P. Klassen as the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by the Winkler Bergthaler Mennonite Church, who in 1984 decided to purchase the Grace Mennonite Church building (960 Pembina Ave., Winkler, Manitoba, Canada) for this new church-planting venture. In 2006 the congregation built a new church and moved to their present location on 15th Street.
