ConneXion Christian Fellowship (Calgary, Alberta, Canada)
Curt and Sharon Snell began The River as a Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren (MB) Churches Key Cities Initiative church plant in the Douglasdale area of Calgary in August 1999. After a two-year wait, a separate school in the middle of the target area gave permission to use its gym and three classrooms. The congregation experienced a number of baptisms in its early years. The church later changed its name to ConneXion Christian Fellowship.
In 2010 the congregation withdrew from the Alberta Conference of MB Churches to formally associate with River of Life Church in Lethbridge, Alberta.
