Dreier, Hans (d. 1529)
Hans Dreier, a Swiss Anabaptist martyr, a cabinetmaker, was drowned in Bern on 8 July 1529 with Hans Hausmann and Heinrich Seiler. At his cross-examination he confessed that he would adhere to his baptism; a Christian may be a member of government, but not for long; the oath is forbidden; he knew nothing about community of goods; a Christian will not let others suffer want, etc.
