The Farmville Christian Fellowship near Farmville, Virginia, USA was established in 1971. The congregation started as persons began to move to the Farmville area from Kempsville, Virginia (now part of Virginia Beach) in order to escape the increasing urbanism.

In 1983, Bishop Uria M. Shetler responded to the church’s request for a bishop and thus moved to the community from Paraguay. When Shetler contracted Parkinson’s disease in the mid-1990s, the church needed to select a new bishop. Three bishops were considered for oversight: two men from Nationwide Fellowship churches and a third from Pilgrim Christian Fellowship, a Beachy Amish church in Stuarts Draft, Virginia. Bennie Byler of the Pilgrim congregation received the highest number of votes. Thus, by default, the Farmville congregation remained Beachy Amish.

In 2017 the church was a member of the Beachy Amish Mennonite Fellowship and had a membership of 24. The bishop was Norman Eli Yoder.
