Empens, Gillis (17th century)
Gillis Empens was the author of a book published in 1627, now lost, concerning events in 1555, “how Menno joined with five brethren.” Several citations in Dooreslaer lead to the supposition that this is a valuable historical work, especially on the Flemish between 1568 and 1627. It would therefore be of great value if this book could be found.
