Truyken (Truytgen), also erroneously Ryntgen Boens, an Anabaptist martyr, was burned at the stake with six others on 20 March 1549, at Amsterdam, Holland. She was a native of Antwerp, Belgium, a daughter of Willem Boens and a cousin of the martyr Anneken Boens. Elder Gillis van Aken had baptized her. This group of martyrs is commemorated in the hymn, "Tis nu schier al vervult ons broeders getal," found in the hymnal Veelderhande Liedekens of 1556 and following editions.
