Jansz, Pieter (17th century)
Pieter Jansz, in the 17th century an elder of the Waterlander congregation of Wormerveer, Dutch province of North Holland, who published a new edition of Hans de Ries' Confession of Faith, which he revised and provided with a large number of Scripture texts. There are three editions of Pieter Jansz's edition, of 1654, 1660, and 1686, all published at Krommenie (Biogr. Wb. IV, 526 f.). The Pieter Jansz who was about the same time a Waterlander Mennonite elder at Harlingen, Friesland (DB 1901, 74, 77), was apparently not the same person as Pieter Jansz of Wormerveer.
