Commisaris
Commisaris, name from 1775 given to the elders or "opzieners" of the Groningen Old Flemish conference in the Netherlands. In the Frisian conference of North Holland this name is also found from ca. 1724 for what formerly was called "landsdienaar" (traveling elder).
