Noordijk, Pieter (ca. 1660-1708)
Pieter Noordijk (Noortdijk), who was born ca. 1660 in Amsterdam and died on 20 November 1708 in Amsterdam, was a Dutch Mennonite minister who was trained for the ministry by Galenus Abrahamsz. He served as a preacher in the Utrecht congregation in 1685-1704 and in the Lamist congregation in Amsterdam in 1704-1708. In January 1699 he was invited to replace Galenus Abrahamsz as the preacher of the Amsterdam Lamist congregation and as a professor in its seminary, but he declined and Galenus retained his position. After the death of Galenus (1706) Noortdijk was again invited to become a professor of the seminary, but he again refused.
