The Mennonite congregation of Haarlem re-edited the Amsterdam hymnbook Oude Liederen of 1684 under the new title Opwekkende Gezangen (1st ed. about 1712; 2nd ed. Haarlem, 1763). In 1776 a third edition of this hymnbook was published at Haarlem, entitled Liederen en Gezangen op de Chr. feesttijden, bij de Gemeenten der Doopsgezinden en Remonstranten te Haarlem en elders in gebruik. The next year a supplementary volume appeared under the old title Opwekkende Liederen, Tweede Stuk (Haarlem, 1777).
