Jan Aertsz, an Anabaptist martyr, a joiner from Oesterhout (Oosterhout, Dutch province of North Brabant?), was beheaded at Delft, Dutch province of South Holland, with 10 others on 7 January 1539. Apparently he was a follower of David Joris. In 1534, when living in the territory of IJsselstein, he organized meetings in which the Scriptures (or other books?) were read.
