Govertsz, Joost (17th century)

Joost Govertsz was a co-worker with Tieleman van Braght in the preparation of the <em>Martyrs' Mirror</em>. For the church at Hoorn Govertsz collected records in Brabant. By this comprehensive work the dependability of the Martyrs' Mirror was greatly enhanced; more recent research has frequently confirmed his statements.
