Ezumaburen and Ezumazijl are hamlets in the Dutch province of Friesland. Leenaert Bouwens baptized seven persons in Ezumaburen in 1563 and 25 in 1568-1582; and in this latter period he baptized seven persons in nearby Ezumazijl. There was, however, no Mennonite congregation here. The Mennonites living here were no doubt members of some neighboring congregation, perhaps Anjum or Dokkum.
