Eventide Home, Mountain Lake, Minnesota, was founded in 1921, when a former hospital building was taken over as an inter-Mennonite Home for the Aged. The new building, called Eventide Home, was erected in 1950, with a 54-bed capacity. It is a nursing home as well as a boarding care home. Superintendents have been Margaret Friesen, Margaret Janzen, Katharina Balzer, Susie Ewert, Anna Wall, and Mrs. Anna Isaac, who had been serving since 1950. The home was operated by a board of seven directors elected annually by the shareholders.
