Taconis family

Taconis, a Mennonite family at Joure in Friesland, Netherlands, who had a noted nursery in the 19th century. Inne Taconis (b. 1815 at Joure, d. 1865 at Nieuwe Niedorp) was pastor of the Nieuwe and Oude Niedorp Mennonite congregation 1841-65. His wife was Aagtje Ris. Their son Klaas Ris Taconis (b. 1844 at Nieuwe Niedorp, d. 1878 at Joure) was pastor of the Noordeind van Graft congregation 1872-1875. In 1875 he retired because of bad health.
