Abraham Regier, minister and elder: born 8 May 1831 in Prussia, the ninth of fifteen children of Peter Regier (1798-1856) and Margaretha (Regier) Regier (1799-1861). Abraham married Gertrude Dyck. Records seem to indicate that they had one son and five daughters. Abraham died 14 October 1908 in Prussia.

Abraham was a farmer and estate holder. His father Peter was the elder of the Grosswerder Mennonite Church in Prussia. Abraham was ordained as a minister and later as the elder of the Tiegenhagen Mennonite Church in 1856 upon his father's death.
