Douwe Douwensz Muys, usually called only Douwe Douwensz, was a Dutch Mennonite preacher of the Waterlander congregation of Hindeloopen, Friesland. Being rather progressive, he disagreed with some conservative elements of the Waterlander group, and was thereupon attacked by Kornelius van Huyzen of Emden. Muys replied with Den gesuiverden Toetsteen, of Aanmerkingen op't boek. van K. v. Huizen, genaamt Toetsteen van de leere der Doopsgesinde. (Workum, 1714). The years of his serving are unknown. He had died before 1731.
