Mountain View Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Birnie, Manitoba, Canada)
The Mountain View Church of God in Christ, Mennonite congregation began services in the 1980s. A new building project was completed in 1991. The congregation originated through colonization of northern Manitoba.
In 1985 there were 49 members; in 1995, 92; in 2000, 116. The congregation has been affiliated with the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite.
Mountain View operates Shady Oak Christian School.
Birnie, MB, R0J 0J0. (204) 966-3831. Located on Hwy. 5, 1.5 km north of Provincial Rd. 352, then 1 km east. Minister Linden Wohlgemuth served in 2001 as a non-salaried congregational leader.
