Menno Township, Mifflin County, Pennyslvania, was named after Menno Simons by action of the court in 1837 because of the large number of Mennonite settlers in that vicinity. The township is six-and-a-half miles (10 km) long, extends from the summit of Jack's Mountain to the summit of Stone Mountain, and is bordered by Huntingdon County on the west and Union Township on the east.
