Lakeview Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Stettler, Alberta, Canada)
Stettler, AB, T0C 2L0. (403) 742-4762. Located 10 miles south, 2 miles east of Stettler. Minister Cornelius Unruh served in 2001 as one of the non-salaried congregational leaders. In 1965 there were 9 members; in 1975, 25; in 1985, 72; in 2000, 103. The congregation has been affiliated with the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. The language of worship is English.
The congregation began services in 1964, and formally organized in 1966. The first building was occupied in 1969, with a subsequent building program in 1984. Dewey Unruh is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through colonization from the Linden congregation
Lakeview operates Lakeview Christian School.
