In September 2020, Culloden Mennonite Brethren Church in Vancouver, British Columbia officially closed and a new ministry, Midtown Church, commenced at the former Culloden location. The congregation launched on 24 January 2021 and formally joined the British Columbia Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches on 1 May 2021. In 2021 the church had 53 members and an average Sunday attendance of 150.

Norm Funk is the founding lead pastor, and the congregation is affiliated with the BC Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches and a friend of The Gospel Coalition Canada.
