The Northeast Bible Church (known earlier as the Calgary Evangelical Bible Church) began services and formally organized in 1976. The congregation originated through rural members settling in the city. The congregation has been affiliated with the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church (1976-1987), now known as the Fellowship of Evangelical Bible Churches (1987-). The language of worship is English.

In 2009 the pastor was John Fehr.
