Institute Monthly, official organ of the Elkhart Institute, was intended as a means of keeping former students in touch with the school. The first issue was printed in October 1898 and the last in May 1903. In the June-July number, 1903, it became the Goshen College Record. The format, eight three-column pages 8¼ x 11¼ in., was changed after the first year to 16 two-column pages 7 x 9½ in. The first editorial staff was W. K. Jacobs, editor, and I. R. Detweiler, business manager. Beginning with the sixth issue F. S. Ebersole served as editor. He was succeeded by C. K. Hostetler. The Mennonite Historical Library at Goshen College has a complete file.
