Grace Mennonite Fellowship in Harrisonburg, Virginia was started in 1997 by persons from eight different denominational backgrounds who received a vision to start a new church in the Lacey Spring community during months of Bible study on the book of Acts. In September 1997 they began meeting in the local elementary school. Nine and a half acres were purchased next to the school in January 1998 to construct a meetinghouse. Later an educational wing was added to the original building. Outreach and service are the two main emphases of the fellowship.

In 2024, Grace Mennonite Fellowship withdrew from the Virginia Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA and joined LMC: a Fellowship of Anabaptist Churches.

In 2014 the church was served by Ministers Richard K. Early, Bradley Kolb, and Mark Landis. The church had 181 members.
