Hans Schleifer, an Anabaptist of Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany, was chosen with Peter Ringmacher on 1 April 1528, as bishop (Vorsteher) of the Augsburg congregation and sent to Regensburg to comfort the brethren. (See Augsburg)
