Katharina König, an Anabaptist martyr, was executed at Reinhardsbrunn in Sachsen-Gotha, Germany, with three other women and four men (see Kolb, Andreas). This sentence of death caused Friedrich Myconius, the superintendent of Gotha, some uneasiness, which Melanchthon tried to dissipate in a letter dated February 1530.
