Joseph Habets was a Dutch Catholic priest, archivist of the province of Limburg and chairman of the Historical Society of Limburg-Roermond. He wrote De Wederdoopers te Maastricht tijdens deregierung von Karel V (Roermond, 1877), which gives a thorough and authentic account of the rise and suppression of the fanatical Anabaptists of Münster in and about the city.
