Mennonite Immigration Bureau was organized on 3 March 1916, at [[Newton (Kansas, USA)|Newton]], Kansas, to facilitate the anticipated immigration of Mennonites from [[Russia|Russia]] as soon as the cessation of hostilities in [[World War (1914-1918)|World War I]] would permit this.
