Laurens Tiettyezoon, an Anabaptistmartyr, was beheaded on 7 December 1549 at Leeuwarden, capital of the Dutch province of Friesland, together with Tiyttye Douwes, because he had been rebaptized and "had a false opinion of our holy Christian faith."
