Jan Kanneghieter of [[Coesfeld (Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany)|Coesfeld]] in [[Westphalia (Germany)|Westphalia]], [[Germany|Germany]], an [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, was beheaded on 1 June 1535 at [[Amsterdam (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Amsterdam]], on the charge of being rebaptized and having partaken in the attack on the Amsterdam town hall, 10-11 May 1535.
