Dirk Vredricx (Vaertgen), an Anabaptist martyr of Krommeniedijk, Dutch province of North Holland, was sentenced to death and beheaded at Haarlem on 26 March 1534, together with six other Anabaptists, because they were rebaptized, had renounced the Roman Catholic doctrines and rebaptized many persons. Dirk is said to have been a preacher.
