Revision as of 06:15, 6 October 2016
The Cassel Mennonite congregation began services in 1935, and formally organized in 1964. The first building was occupied in 1935, with an additional building program in 1994. Bishop Daniel Iutzi is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through division from East Zorra Mennonite Church because of the latter congregation's increasing numbers. Cassel was listed as part of East Zorra membership until 1964.
On 7-9 May 2010, the congregation celebrated its 75th anniversary.
