Aert de Hane, placed on trial at Antwerp on 24 September 1563, and again on 8 October of the same year. At the latter trial he recanted, saying that he repented. In December 1563 he had to appear a third time before the commissioners, but this time the verdict was "delayed until the following month because of his illness." We do not learn about the outcome of the trial. Perhaps he died in prison.
