Abraham (Abraham van Royen or Abraham van Roey), an Anabaptist martyr, a locksmith by trade, was burned at the stake at Antwerp on 4 February1556. His name is mentioned in a song, "Aenhoort Godt, hemelsche Vader" (Hear, O God, heavenly Father), which is found as No. 16 in the Liedtboecxken van den Offer des Heeren (1563).
