Lethbridge Mission Church began services and formally organized in 1963 with 33 charter members. At first they met in rented facilities. In 1966 the name was changed to the Lakeview Mennonite Brethren Church. The congregation constructed its own meeting house in 1965 and expanded the building in 1972. In 1966 the name was changed to the Lakeview Mennonite Brethren Church. The congregation constructed its own meeting house in 1965 and expanded the building in 1972. In 1979 a decision was made to establish another congregation, which became the College Drive Community Church. Allan Guenther is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by the Alberta Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.
The congregation changed its name to Lakeview Bible Church before 2000.
