Zwartewaal, a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. Mennonite activity is mentioned here about 1568, when Hans Busschaert preached. Probably later on there was a congregation, for at least in 1622 Mennonite services were held at Zwartewaal. Among the Mennonites of Zwartewaal were the Arkenbout family.
