Claes van Lewen (Leeuwen), husband of the Dutch Anabaptist martyr Cornelia, was a director of the Latin school at Zutphen, Dutch province of Gelderland. When after his death it was learned in 1549 that he had belonged to the Anabaptist brotherhood, his corpse was exhumed and buried in unhallowed ground.
