Theunis Theunisz, a Mennonite preacher either at Vlaardingen or at Dordrecht, preached at Klundert in the Dutch province of North Brabant; the meeting, attended by about 50 persons, was surprised by the police and a number of those present were arrested and after trial put to death at Breda. Theunis and many others, however, were able to escape.
