Peter H. Unruh, son of Peter P. and Anna (Klassen) Unruh, was born in [[McPherson County (Kansas, USA)|McPherson County]], [[Kansas (USA)|Kansas]], 23 January 1881. He was ordained minister of the Alexanderwohl [[General Conference Mennonite Church (GCM)|General Conference Mennonite]] Church congregation in 1900 and elder in 1915. He served as a relief worker in Russia under the [[Mennonite Central Committee (International)|Mennonite Central Committee]] (MCC) 1922-23 and was for some years a member of the MCC and its vice-chairman. He also served for a time on the Conference Peace Committee and as treasurer of the Emergency Relief Board. He was married on 31 August 1905, to Susie Warkentin. He died at [[Goessel (Kansas, USA)|Goessel]], Kansas, 20 July 1943.

Unruh (26 November 1852, Nikolaidorf, Molotschna Mennonite Settlement, South Russia - 7 March 1939, Harvey County, Kansas) and Anna (Klaassen) Unruh (7 March 1859, Elisabeththal, Molotschna, South Russia - 12 February 1901, Marion County, Kansas).
