Jakob Gerbrandt, from Grossweide, Molotschna, Russia, attended Bethel College, North Newton, Kansas, 1897-1902, and returned to Russia where he became an itinerant minister of the Allgemeine Bundeskonferenz (General Conference) for the Mennonite settlements in the province of Ufa and in Siberia. He was an elder in the Slavgorod (Barnaul) settlement, Siberia. Nothing is known of his later life and work.
