Renew City Church was planted in 2009 in downtown Toronto by Jon and Claudia Osmond. The church plant closed on 1 April 2011 but at that time expressed the desire to continue to explore being a neighborhood community of faith, hope, and love in an unofficial capacity with the support of the Ontario Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.
