Herman van den Berge, a farmer living at Roosteren, now Dutch province of Limburg, was executed (likely at the stake) at Montfort about 1540, because Smeken van Tricht (apparently Jan Smeitgen of Maastricht) had preached on his farm. Though particulars are lacking, Herman was probably a member of the congregation.
