<em>Gospel Tidings</em> was the name given in 1942 to the <em>Evangelisationsbote</em>, the 4-page, semimonthly (1947-1951, 8 pp.) official organ of the [[Fellowship of Evangelical Bible Churches|Evangelical Mennonite Brethren]] (founded in 1921). Until 1951 a small part of the journal remained German. Beginning in January 1951 it was a 16-page English monthly with about 900 subscribers. From January to June 1953 it was published jointly with <em>Zion's Tidings</em>, the organ of the [[Fellowship of Evangelical Churches|Evangelical Mennonite Church]], as a 24-page monthly, last issue 15 June 1953. It was succeeded by <em>The Evangelical Mennonite</em>, the organ of the merged Evangelical Mennonite and Evangelical Mennonite Brethren conferences. Editors 1942-1953 were H. P. Wiebe, H. F.
