Bernhard Thiessen: minister of the Ibersheim Mennonite Church; b. 12 June 1814 in Danzig, the third of five children of Bernhard Thiessen (17 March 1783 – 3 June 1826) and Maria (Deveer) Thiessen (16 November 1777 – 10 October 1852). Bernhard married Henriette Sophie Mathilde Schmidt (9 September 1820, Danzig – 9 September 1849, Ibersheim, Germany) on 22 June 1845 in Danzig. Bernhard and Henriette had two children, Maria Franziska and Otto Bernhard. Bernhard d. 28 May 1855 in Ibersheim, Germany.
