Aeltgen van Gent was a button maker, in whose house in Homburger Street in Utrecht, Holland, a Mennonite congregation was accustomed to meet during the years 1560-1562. She apparently fled the persecution of 1562. No trial or verdict concerning her has been found. She is mentioned only in the confessions of prisoners.
