Johann Jacob Wolleb, pietistic Reformed minister in Thenniken, canton of Basel, Switzerland, during the first half of the 18th century. He was the author of the remarkable book, <em>Gespräch zwischen einem Pietisten und einem Wiedertäufer</em> (Basel, 1722). In his later years he became an enthusiastic follower of Count Zinzendorf, who visited him in 1740. The Gespräch was written apparently in a missionary spirit, with the hope of winning the Anabap­tists (of the Jura area) to the new trend of Pietism.
