Jakob Müller (1753-1827), born at Ibersheim, South Germany, was the first elder of the Mennonite Church at Einsiedel, Galicia, and an outstanding pioneer leader of that settlement. A number of his letters written to relatives in the Palatinate, which were printed by Bachmann, contain valuable information about the early Mennonite settlement in Galicia.
