Marytgen Davidsdochter from Leiden, Holland, an Anabaptist martyr, was drowned on 7 June 1539 at Alkmaar, Dutch province of North Holland, with three other martyrs, because she had been (re) baptized. Mellink is of opinion that she was a follower of David Joris.
