Peter Löwen: missionary and elder; born at Muntau, Molotschna Settlement, South Russia, on 2 April 1882, the son of Peter P. Löwen (28 May 1852 - 28 December 1921) and Maria (Rempel) Löwen (b. 8 May 1857).
On 8 July 1911 he married Emilie Fellmann (8 October 1888 - 10 June 1960), daughter of Michael Fellmann and Christine (Fellmann) Fellmann. They had eight children. Peter taught in the elementary school at Spat, Crimea, and at the age of 22 went to the Mission School of Neukirchen near Mors, Germany, after which he continued his education at Leiden, the Netherlands .
